The
build for Neurotikart II has begun. First, brief coverage of the raw materials and tools needed for a basic frame.
Next, the
frame dimensions and construction details.
I got the rear axle and bearings. I've shot some
video of how it goes together, but here's a quick video on actually installing the axle bearing mounts.
Ok, well here's the detail that went into the
video with the music. More info is provided on setup and prep for welding.
The following
video describes the fabrication required if using a golf cart motor. It may be cheaper, but there's a definite advantage
to a motor with a regular old output shaft.
Here's
the detail on fabricating the sprocket drive shaft. I used A2 decarb-free tool steel from Ebay seller SpeedyMetals. At the
end, there's a picture of the finished result, which was tried out and found to work perfectly.
